Gods Quarters

The God's Quarters ministry began in September 2000. The awareness of the need for this “free laundry service” came from a town hall meeting with the homeless held by the Catholic Action Center. The men and women made known the need for a place to have their clothing cleaned. They pointed out that one of their great barriers to keeping employment and feeling respectable was having clean clothes. There was no free laundry service available to them and the cost of detergent and laundromats was not within their reach.  Knowing that there were places for those in need to receive clothing, but no place available to keep the clothing clean, God's Quarters, a free laundry service, was launched.
With donated supplies, washers, and dryers, volunteers wash laundry at 614 East 7th Street. No longer do our brothers and sisters in need have to choose between buying food or cleaning their clothes. God's Quarters gives them an alternative to this!

You can help continue this ministry of cleanliness: detergent and  quarters are always needed.   Over 7,500 loads of laundry have been done since September 2000: all by volunteers and donated supplies!! Contact us to help.

Open Monday-Saturday. Drop off clothing between 10:00-11:00am, pick up between 12:00-2:00pm same day. Laundry done for FREE! Call 514-7210 for more info.

He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
