Blessing and Dedication of the
Mary Alice Pratt Women's Shelter and
Fr. Hank Kenney Men's Shelter

Over 40 people attended the blessing and dedication of the new Mary Alice Pratt Women's Shelter and the Fr. Hank Kenney Men's Shelter at The Community Inn, 824 Winchester Rd., on Sunday, May 13th.  
Elder James McDonald, pastor of Emmanuel Apostolic Church, and Fr. Walt Bado led the service.  Mary Alice Pratt and Fr. Hank Kenney were remembered for their work with those who are poor and marginalized, for their advocacy for social justice and for living the Gospel in their everyday lives.

  Attendees then shared in a reception and were given tours of the men's (downstairs) and women's (upstairs) shelters.

If you are interested in volunteering at The Community Inn, please call 859-514-7210 or email caclexky@insightbb.com.  Volunteers are especially needed 7-9pm daily to help with check-in, classes/clinics, and coordinating showers.

Supplies needed at The Community Inn include toilet paper, cleaning supplies, bleach, socks, and hygiene items (small bars of soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant)
